Research Lab — Generative System Model.
The non-normative research product — the Generative Governance program, promoted into GSM Change Proposals when it graduates.
Why it matters
What Research Lab changes for you.
Where GSM is questioned before it is standardized: systemics is the paradigm, GSM is the candidate model under test. Research programs interrogate the primitives, the governance chain, and the production of DNA against executed cases — and what survives is promoted into GSM Change Proposals. Nothing here is normative until it graduates.
The standard is tested before it is frozen.
Primitives may be added, split, merged, or withdrawn under research pressure — every claim is checked against executed, discriminating cases rather than asserted. A standard earns its stability; it does not start with it.
Delivered by Causal model · Governance chain · Cases
Research and specification never blur.
Hypotheses live here and only here; the normative model lives in the Specifications. The promotion path into GSM Change Proposals is the only bridge, so nothing exploratory ever leaks into what implementations conform to.
Delivered by DNA production · Decision register · Research protocol & promotion path
Open questions have stable names.
Every unresolved decision carries a stable identifier shared across the dossier — what GSM does not yet settle is published as explicitly as what it does.

Features
What Research Lab does.
Causal model
Organization, purpose, function, and viability evaluations — the causal account a governed system is read through.
Governance chain
Regulation, feedback, variety, and operational closure — the cybernetic chain that makes governance a loop rather than a document.
DNA production
Autopoietic production of Directives, Norms, and Ascriptions, and the handoff into the systemic lifecycle.
Cases
Executed, discriminating examples — the evidence a research claim is accepted or rejected on.
Decision register
Stable identifiers for unresolved decisions, shared across the whole research dossier.
Research protocol & promotion path
Published programs and a promotion path from research decisions into GSM Change Proposals — the normative bridge into gsm-specifications.
